My Final Year Project: Turning Uncertainty into Innovation

Image
Unlocking Market Potential with the Relative Attractiveness Index When I first heard about the idea behind the Relative Attractiveness Index (RAI) for my final year project, I’ll be honest—I had no clue what it even meant. I remember sitting in front of my laptop, searching everywhere for examples or existing tools, and coming up empty. There weren’t even many research papers to lean on. It felt like I was trying to build something from the ground up, with almost no roadmap. That challenge was both intimidating and strangely exciting. I realized if I could pull this off, I’d be creating something genuinely new—something that could help businesses make smarter, data-driven decisions about global expansion. How I and my Team Built RAI from Scratch The idea behind RAI was simple: give companies a way to compare countries using real economic and healthcare data, so they could pick the best markets for their needs. But with so few references, every step felt experimental. I focused on thr...

Dream feild- finding its door

Are You Confused About Which Field to Choose? So Was I. Let me walk you through the journey of how I discovered my dream field. There’s a saying: "You can’t put your hands in all buckets" – If you do, it’ll only become a mess and you'll end up good for nothing. And yes, I was a mess—even during university—while pursuing my Bachelor’s in Technology. Choosing which bucket to dip my hands into was a really tough decision, mainly because of a lack of research and, of course, the mindset of " why settle for less? " So I kept trying out a bit of everything, here and there. Because once you dip your hands fully into something, it feels like there's no coming out of it. And just like that, two years of college flew by... Hold on, hear me out… It’s not like I was indecisive the entire time. I was clear about studying Computer Science ever since 10th grade (thanks to my amazing computer teacher—while everyone spent 3 years learning Java, she made me a ge...

When Life Gave Me a Second Mic – I Took It

How I Got My Groove Back (a.k.a. My Second Workshop Experience 😄) The first one was in college and that was pretty awesome-want me to write about it?-let me know in the comments.. So there was this workshop at NPS Sapthagiri College — yep, an actual, real-deal event — where we had to give a 2-hour talk to BSc first years about computer science. 🎤👨‍💻 This went down at the beginning of December 2024. Now here’s the thing: deciding the topic? Not easy. Took us a while. These students were freshers, just getting started with C programming. So we thought — hey, let’s talk about why DSA (Data Structures & Algorithms) is such a big deal, the magic of coding , and how Git & GitHub can literally make your life 10x easier. 😎 Our squad (a.k.a. The Vikasana Crew): Anmol, Dinesh, Kevin, and me — off on a mini adventure to this college. Okay so... confession time: one of us overslept . Not saying who 👀. Which turned our morning into a hormonal rollercoaster 🌀, but hey — we got luc...

Hackathon Chronicles: MVJ College of Engineering

Image
-My first ever Hackathon experience So, we decided to give Vikasana a fresh start, and what better way than jumping into a hackathon? That’s how we ended up at MVJ College of Engineering in Whitefield for an on-the-spot-themed hackathon—Disaster Management. Our team? Me, along with three insanely smart people: Dinesh, Mihir, and Falisha—of course, all from Vikasana. They named our squad Homi Baba (because why not). The Pre-Hackathon Hype A day before the hackathon, we had a strategy meeting—what to do, how to plan, and all that jazz. Mihir was on full motivational mode: “Bruh, yess! Let’s go! We’re gonna win this thing!” Gotta love that mindset. Date: 19th Dec 2024. The Journey to MVJ First challenge? Getting there. Dinesh offered to bring his car, but for the sake of adventure, I took the metro. Rode my bike to the station, switched metro lines, then finally reached my stop and walked to the college. Three hours of travel—uff! The Arrival: Hackathon Begins We got our hackathon pass...

What made me think design is crazy

Okay...so it was my 2nd year of college when I joined vikasana the research and development team of my university... Well vikasana was like my dream destination... because it contained people of high potential and i was barely surpassing any of those capabilities like just hanging out the cliff.. joined and barely surviving...that type of intelligence and kindness was present in this group vikasana....one of the reasons for me loving vikasana even now...had a good bunch of seniors and made my journey in vikasana awesome... So now at this point I barely knew about design what it is... thought it's some lowky or let's say some feild like other feilds... Until I was assigned to one project and there is where I heard the term .. figma..  made me more curious like what the hell is this figma...me in utter state if confusion and a lost state of mind...me started exploring the figma website... bruhh that website looked soo...complex like what what is happening....I have no clue.... Th...

Cicada 3301-"The internet Mystery"

Image
There was a message from an anonymous sender stating, "Hello, we are looking for highly intelligent individuals, and thus this test." If they solved the test, they likely had a chance of actually finding out who they were, and this message was signed by the name Cicada 3301. It all started on 4th Jan 2012 on 4chan..an anonymous English language imageboard website for the age group 18-25. It's a community-based webpage ... I posted an image on a random board and signed the image with 4 digit code i.e. 3301 and challenged the users to uncover a message hidden in this... As soon as they posted the image many users started discovering what it could be and when they opened this image on Notepad they found a text and a link when deciphered and that link led them to another image...everyone thought this was the end of this puzzle, but when they used an app called outguess..they were able to extract hidden info within the image. This info led them to a subreddit which led them ...

Trade Planner-A full stack application

Image
It all started with a clumsy set of papers with many strategies not knowing which works the best and which does not The idea of organising everything and getting it all together brought rise to this application. What started as a personal challenge turned into a rewarding adventure. It all started with a clumsy set of strategies knowing it works or not and when to apply them or not...so I created this application which allows me to enter the data, edit the data, view the data and delete the data it also allows you to categorize it according to the label/days of the week. The road was bumpy, with plenty of downs, but each obstacle was a lesson in disguise. Diving into Docker was a game-changer, teaching me the essence of containerization. 🐳 This application also consists of an inbuilt calendar, an inbuilt YouTube video view, and a link to the Option chain which is used by many trades in India. Tech Stack: Talking about the tech stack...at first when I heard about this project from my c...

Shopping portal using Servlets

Image
" The Digital Bazaar: Unveiling the ShoppingPortal Experience" In the digital age, the concept of shopping has transcended physical boundaries, morphing into an experience that is both seamless and sophisticated. Enter ShoppingPortal, the Java-based mini-project that is revolutionizing the way we engage with e-commerce. The Foundation of ShoppingPortal At its core, ShoppingPortal is a symphony of technologies harmoniously integrated to deliver a user-friendly shopping interface. It's built on the sturdy pillars of MySQL, Java Servlets, and JSP (JavaServer Pages), each component playing a crucial role in the portal's functionality.
